Because I'm a bad, bad mother, I'm pulling Kaleigh out of school tomorrow so that we can bask in our Indian Summer. This will be our last opportunity this year to run off to the woods and so we are going to sieze it. Yes, we are camping fools.
Not to cut into your , no doubt, juicy plans for the weekend, but I'm leaving you with some homework.
Your assignments are as follows:
*Loaded Questions V-- tell me who you think said what
*Guess who Miss October is and send me the titillating photo you promised to send me
*Miss me while I'm gone
What the hell happened in Loaded Questions V?? I was thrilled that we had some new players join us and then they just disappeared. Where did ya go? Since we have three mystery players (we are missing three URL's) we have little choice but to try and match up the seven blogs we do have with seven of the ten responses. Lemme know if you are completely lost and I'll try and set you straight. I'll keep collecting your attempts at who's who and announce the winner Sunday night.
Secondly, I am very, very excited about the enthusiastic response to Show Us Some Skin. Damn, there are some hella-sexy bloggers out there! Some of you are making me blush. I'm eagerly running home from class each day to find what new surprise awaits me in my gmail. This is gonna be a blast! Thank you to everyone who has already submitted a smokin hot photograph. And the rest of you...enough with the shy routine and bring it, baby!
I'm gonna throw some hints out as to who our Miss October is :
Yes, that is a tattoo....but can you tell what it is? *hint* *hint*
Why, yes, yoga does indeed do a body good (gorgeous, you are!!)
While our Miss October is not available (dammit!), her turn-on's include intelligence, a cozy neck, a ready smile, calm and equal (?) parts of reverence and irreverence
What else can I tell you about her? She's an amazing writer with much deserved Blogging For Books wins and she's inching up on 30,000 hits even without having celebrated her one year blogiversary yet. She's incredibly kind, nurturing and equally respectful of all living things. Her affinity for nature, her wonder and awe of the world around her are nothing short of contagious.
I read her blog every single day and I learn something every single day.
Oh, did you know she met the love of her life online?? Woohoo! As I feel I'm selling her short here-- I'll let her tell you more about who she is. Seems I wasn't the first to capture a man's heart through my words.
Check out her hook, line, and sinker:
Like Virginia Woolf, I believe every woman needs a little money and a room of her own but it is starting to occur to me that some good company might be in order as well, especially now that my very best travel companion is getting ready to choose her college. So-I'm generally happy, energetic and more curious about nature and places than who's doing what with whom. Youthful appearance and demeanor. I'm independent and self reliant, a creature of comfort (more cotton than silk) and I enjoy gardening, kayaking and sneaking quietly around the lake looking for Sandhill Cranes in the marsh grass. I place very high value on strong personal ethics and I'm committed to caring for others, especially in my professional life but I leave space to meet my own needs and have fun. I'm almost done raising my two nearly perfect children (the jazz musician is already out the door but may need indefinite support from afar and the 16 year old has been self-directed since she could walk and goes freely back and forth between her father's and here). I'm a fine cook, a voracious reader and although I catch and release I tie my own flies. And I'm just a little bit quirky (do not read kinky)- I almost got drummed out of book club for suggesting Geek Love.
I'm pretty flexible but I would want to be with someone who is not burdened with much in the way of problems, debt or bad karma. He should be intelligent, articulate, enjoy putzing around enough to get the chores done and be up for some good adventures, especially outdoors. Music is a pretty integral part of my life so concert-going, both club jazz and classical auditorium would be a plus. My ideal match would enjoy heading out to the cottage on the weekend for boating, walks, bonfires and star-gazing.
He responded and the rest, as they say, is history.
Now, do you know who she is?? She's truly lovely, inside and out.
